Julia McKenzie

Drummond Street Services
Manager of Sector Capacity Building
Melbourne
Julia began working at the Centre for Family Research and Evaluation (CFRE) in 2016, managing projects that provide support to family services agencies around program planning and evaluation. CFRE is a collaboration between drummond street services, which is a not-for-profit family services agency based in Melbourne, and the Psychology Department at Deakin University. The focus of CFRE is to translate the evidence for how to best support families to other agencies across Australia, and provide support to develop programs that are evidence-informed whilst still being relevant to the context and community. The approach we use aims to embed evaluation thinking and reflective practice into program design and delivery in the family services sector.

Previously, Julia worked at an evaluation consultancy firm called Roberts Evaluation from 2010 to 2015 where she managed a variety of evaluations across different settings and sectors. She completed a Master of Evaluation from the University of Melbourne in 2015.
