Outcome. Impact. Value. In a lighthearted way, I unpack these heavy concepts. I offer some practical frameworks that may help you measure impact. I ask a few moral questions that may slow you down. Along the way, I suggest that our training makes it more difficult for us to measure, infer, and value—the nuts-and-bolts activities of evaluation. Then I suggest a few ways to make these activities easier. If you are a realist evaluator, you will hate what I have to say. Or you will love it. Depends on context.
