Dr Clancy Read is a global health and human development research practitioner specializing in participatory approaches to research for the improvement of community health and reduction of poverty. Clancy’s experience spans across countries including India, Philippines, Mexico and Australia, and across communities including rural, indigenous and minority populations.

She specializes in qualitative research design, implementation, analysis and dissemination and has a range of publications and international conference presentations covering topics related to the improvement of participatory research methods for the advancement of human health and development.

Clancy completed her PhD in 2012 and has since conducted a number of monitoring and evaluation consultancies in Mexico, where she was living prior to Perth. In her current role as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Telethon Kids Institute, she is partaking in a range of research and project activities relating to Rheumatic Heart Disease with a particular focus on qualitative program components.
